About this role

The CRHT provides a range of psycho-social interventions to support people in crisis, or who are at risk of developing a mental health crisis, to receive care by means of the most collaborative and least restrictive interventions available. The service will cover adults of working age and older adults. The core team works from 7 am to midnight, 7 days a week and the team are currently transitioning to working 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Consultants work Monday Friday 9-5. Medical cover outside of CRHT doctor working hours is provided by duty and on-call doctor rotas. A CRHTT service achieving full fidelity to the prescribed model provides a short-term (2 to 6 weeks duration) community focused intensive treatment and care package aimed at facilitating recovery at home for people in mental health crisis who may otherwise require inpatient care or can leave inpatient care early while still symptomatic in the acute phase of their illness. The team provides a flexible, responsive, and prompt multidisciplinary service and includes assessment and diagnosis of mental health problems and provision of effective, brief, evidence-based psychosocial interventions. Services will be accessible and relevant, non-discriminatory, will respect cultural values, and aim to be user friendly for service users and carers/young carers. The service will aim to reduce the stigma attached to mental health care and ensure that care is delivered in the least restrictive and disruptive manner possible. Service users have the right to confidentiality and to be treated with dignity and respect.
