About this role

Several people in Salford have already set up as walkers on WoofWalk, and the Manchester side has sent us a lot of applicants. We now want something different for

Salford

three self-employed pet sitters who will look after a dog in the owner's home while the owner is away. Eccles, Swinton, Walkden and the Quays each need someone close.

A sitter can be called for lunchtime visits, a weekend of nights, or a week's holiday cover. You follow the owner's routine, take care of food, medication and toilet breaks, take the dog out, spend time with it and send a daily update. It suits students on holiday and anyone with a flexible week.

Here is how the arrangement works. You are in business for yourself; WoofWalk is the app owners use to find and book you. We are not an employer, no wage is paid and we do not guarantee any work. You decide the price per visit and per night. Payment goes through the app, then out to your bank. Arranging tax, National Insurance and insurance is up to you. No Salford sitting prices are in our research, so we give none.

If you plan to have dogs staying in your own home, that is home boarding. It needs a licence from the council first and is a separate service in the app. No licence applies at the owner's home.

Money

free to join, 14 days commission-free, then 15% per booking. Five of your own clients joining through you means 10% for life; clients you recruit yourself pay 10% from their first booking.
