About this role
Doncaster owners work shifts, travel for work and take caravan weeks away like anyone else, and the dog stays at home. We want three self-employed pet sitters for the town, the north around Bentley and Adwick, and the east, to look after those dogs in their own houses. If you have seen our dog-walker advert, this is the other job.
The deal for the owner is simple. Someone arrives, follows the routine they have left, feeds the dog, gives any medication, lets it out, takes it for a walk and stays for a while. Then you send a short message saying how the dog got on.
How does the money work? You are in business on your own account, and WoofWalk is only the booking app. It is not your employer, so there is no wage, and work is not guaranteed. The price of a visit, and of a night, is yours to choose. Owners pay in the app, and what you earn is paid out to your bank. You handle tax, National Insurance and insurance as part of working for yourself. Our research gave us no Doncaster sitting figure.
Taking dogs in at your own address is a different thing: home boarding, listed separately in the app and needing a licence from the council first. Visits and stays at the owner's house need no licence.
Sign-up is free. There is no commission for 14 days. Beyond that, 15% of each booking goes to WoofWalk. Once five of your own clients have joined through you, you pay 10% for life, and your own clients pay 10% from day one.
Over 18. Apply on Find a Job with the Doncaster areas you can reach and whether you can do overnights.
