About this role
You will join Bodleian Digital Library Systems and Services (BDLSS), which provides digital services across the Bodleian Libraries for students, academics, researchers and the public. Working with software engineers and other technical colleagues, you will help keep the Libraries’ primarily Linux-based digital services reliable, secure and straightforward to maintain.
You will maintain and support Linux-based applications and infrastructure, including deployment, configuration, upgrades, patching and troubleshooting. You will help operate and develop cloud and virtualised infrastructure, implement monitoring, logging and alerting, support containerised applications, and contribute to business continuity, backup, restoration and recovery testing. You will also troubleshoot complex technical problems and work with colleagues on architecture, deployment and improvements to existing services, with particular attention to security and reliability.
