We strive to share best practice and work in cohesive, collaborative and innovative ways. Our ethos is 'Better Never Ends'.
Mayfield School is a special school for 315 pupils aged between 3 and 19 with a wide range of special educational needs and disabilities including autism. Mayfield is a Unicef Rights Respecting School on a journey to achieve gold status.
The school is split across two sites - Wheeler Street in Lozells (co-located with Holte School and Lozells Junior and Infant School and Nursery) and Heathfield Road in Handsworth. Successful applicants will primarily be based at Healthfield Road but may be asked to work at other Trust premises as required.
About the role
The Site Supervisor role plays a fundamental part in the development of our estate in terms of improving the environments for our students and staff, as well as ongoing maintenance and compliance with all relevant legislation. You will be part of the Trust Central Team. This role will be primarily based at Mayfield School, but there will be opportunities to work together as a Trust-wide Estates team to find inventive solutions and to share ideas. The ideal candidate for this role will:
- Have experience of working in a site role, ideally with experience of working in a school/college;
- Have an excellent working knowledge of relevant Health and Safety legislation along with practical experience of ensuring compliance;
- Have a proactive approach and to be able to prioritise and address issues identified;
- Be an excellent team player and able to work with a range of staff colleagues; and
- Have a commitment to working with students with SEND and an appreciation of how important the right environment is for them to flourish.
There will be a requirement across the team to work outside school hours, which may include some early mornings and late evenings.
A clean driving licence is advantageous as there may be some travel between our sites.
If you are determined, hardworking and think that working at our Trust might be for you, then we would love to hear from you.
If you would like to arrange an informal visit or discuss the role, please contact hr@educationimpact.org.uk.
