Retford dog walker (self-employed): Ordsall, Clarborough and Tuxford, your own prices

WoofWalk is a UK app in which dog owners book and pay a walker close to home. A Retford owner asked locally for one in the past two weeks and the nearest WoofWalk walker was over twenty-five kilometres away, so we are recruiting up to three self-employed walkers for Retford, Ordsall, Clarborough, Ranby and Tuxford, with Kings' Park, the Chesterfield Canal towpath, Idle Valley and Clumber Park for walking.

Plainly

there is no wage and there are no guaranteed bookings. You would be running a small walking business of your own through the app, setting your own prices, hours and patch. Owners book and pay you in the app and the money goes to your bank.

To help you price it, around 200 WoofWalk listings in October 2026 charged from £12 to £28 for an hour's solo walk, with £18 typical. Those figures come from other walkers, not from us.

Walk charges

nothing to join; no commission for the first 14 days; then 15% of each booking, which drops to 10% once five of your own clients have come on board. A client you bring yourself pays 10% from their first booking. Insurance, National Insurance and the tax return are yours to deal with.
