Full GMC Registration with a Licence to Practise. FRCOphth (or equivalent recognised qualification). Entry on the GMC Specialist Register with CCT or equivalent, or eligibility forinclusion within two months of interviewExperience and SkillsEssential Sub-speciality fellowship training in Medical Retina, with high level ofexperience Completion of specialist ophthalmology training Independent management of medical retina conditions and service Ability to interpret advanced retinal imaging Independent management of general clinics and complex ophthalmicemergencies Ability to independently performing cataract surgery of varied complexityDesirable Ability to manage complex medical retinal disorders, perform photodynamictherapy (PDT)ManagementEssential Commitment to service development and team management in medical retina Participation in clinical governance, audit, teaching, supervision and researchPersonal Attributes Excellent team-working and interpersonal skills Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams Commitment to compassionate, patient-centred care Commitment to principles of GMC Good Medical Practice
