Mammographer

The Post Holder will work closely with the Radiologists, Superintendent Radiographers, radiographers and all other colleagues within Breast Imaging. The Post Holder will also form working relationships with staff from other divisions and clinical business units as required by the role. To maintain a high level of clinical expertise To encourage and practice right first time radiography and strive to achieve quality assurance in all aspects of the service To be responsible for the care and comfort of the patient whilst they are in the Breast Care Centre respecting their privacy, dignity, religious and cultural beliefs. Perform technical administrative tasks, including accurate patient information, examination details and post processing requirements on Radiology Information and PACS systems including the NHS BSP system. To undertake Contrast Enhanced Spectral Mammography and intravenous injection contrast media in compliance with protocol, following training and if required by the role if required To assist in monitoring the quality of service to patients and where appropriate in the development and implementation of proposals for improving services To maintain NHS Breast Screening Programme Image Quality standards for mammographers To assist in meeting and the collecting of data for the Quality Assurance and Quality control for the NHS BSP
