Personal Care

Help patients with washing, bathing, dressing, grooming, oral hygiene, and using the toilet or commode.

Nutrition & Hydration

Serve meals, help feed patients who need assistance, and monitor fluid intake.

Mobility & Safety

Help patients move around safely, use mobility aids, or use equipment like hoists.

Vital Signs & Observations

Monitor and record temperatures, pulse, respiration, weight, and blood pressure as instructed.

Clinical Support (Varies by Setting)

Assist with basic clinical tasks such as changing bed linens, restocking supplies, collecting lab samples (e.g., urine or stool), or preparing treatment rooms.

Communication & Record Keeping

Update patient notes, report changes in a patients condition to nurses, and reassure families.
