Commercial Vehicle Technician

We are recruiting a Commercial Vehicle Technician to join our established commercial vehicle business in Billingham. This is an excellent Commercial Vehicle Technician opportunity to work on a diverse range of vehicles, including 3.5-tonne vans, flatbeds, heavy curtainsiders and tractor units.

Benefits

• Basic salary of up to £41,769.
• Early and late shift rotation across a two-week rota.

Week one

06:00–15:30, Monday to Friday.

Week two

11:00–20:30, Monday to Friday.

Duties of a

Commercial Vehicle Technician

• Inspecting and repairing vehicles to DVSA standards.
• Preparing vehicles for MOT testing and presenting them for test.
• Diagnosing faults using specialist diagnostic equipment.
• Completing mechanical and electrical repairs.
• Attending breakdowns and completing off-site repairs when required.
• Maintaining high standards of workmanship and customer service.
• Supporting customers by helping to keep their vehicles on the road.

Requirements of a

Commercial Vehicle Technician

• A Level 3 vehicle maintenance qualification.
• Experience working as an HGV Technician or in a commercial vehicle environment.
• Dealership experience is desirable.
• An MOT licence is desirable but not essential.
• The ability to work accurately and effectively as part of a team.
• A proactive attitude and willingness to develop technical knowledge.
• Awareness of health and safety requirements.
• Your own tools.
• A full UK driving licence.
