General Practice Nurse

Main duties of the role The post holder will be expected to: Provide high-quality, patient-centred nursing care in accordance with NMC standards and practice policies. Undertake general treatment room duties, including wound care, dressings, injections and vaccinations. Support the management and review of patients with long-term conditions. Undertake health assessments, screening and health promotion activities. Provide appropriate advice and education to patients to promote health and self-management. Undertake cervical screening, where appropriately trained. Maintain accurate, contemporaneous and confidential clinical records. Work collaboratively with GPs and the wider multidisciplinary team. Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives and practice development. Maintain professional knowledge and competence through continuing professional development. Work within relevant clinical, professional and statutory guidelines.
