About the role
We are recruiting experienced Healthcare Workers for care opportunities providing services across Milton Keynes and the surrounding areas, including Buckinghamshire, Bedford, Northampton and Luton.
This is a varied, person-centred role supporting service users with different conditions, abilities and care requirements. Depending on service needs, your experience and assessed competencies, you may work across different care packages and locations rather than being assigned exclusively to one service user.

Your duties will vary between care packages and will reflect each individual’s assessed needs.
They will include
• Providing personal care, including support with washing, dressing, oral hygiene, toileting and continence.
• Supporting nutrition and hydration, including assistance with eating and drinking and enteral feeding where required and authorised.
• Delivering complex care tasks in accordance with individual care plans, clinical instructions and your assessed competencies.
• Observing changes in a service user’s condition, recognising signs of deterioration and promptly escalating concerns to the appropriate person or healthcare professional.
• Supporting mobility, transfers, repositioning and pressure-area care using prescribed equipment and safe moving and handling techniques.
• Supporting medication administration in accordance with the care plan, the employer’s procedures and your training and authorisation.
• Supporting communication, emotional wellbeing, daily routines and participation in community activities.
• Maintaining accurate and timely care notes, medication records, monitoring charts and incident reports, as applicable.
• Following safeguarding, infection prevention and control, confidentiality and health and safety procedures.
• Communicating effectively with service users, families, colleagues and relevant healthcare professionals, including providing clear handovers.
• Working across different care packages and locations as reasonably required within the agreed employment arrangements.
