Maintenance Supervisor

The Best Connection Birmingham is recruiting for an experienced

Maintenance Supervisor to lead a small team of mechanical and electrical maintenance technicians, ensuring the safe operation of production machinery and plant equipment.

This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on maintenance professional with strong mechanical and electrical knowledge who can lead a team and support the installation and commissioning of new equipment within a growing industrial business.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the day-to-day activities of the maintenance team.
• Plan and oversee preventative maintenance (PPM), servicing and inspections.
• Carry out fault-finding, diagnostics and reactive repairs to minimise production downtime.
• Coordinate subcontractors and support associated health and safety requirements.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and manage critical spare parts.
• Identify recurring equipment issues and implement improvements to reliability and performance.
• Ensure all maintenance work complies with health and safety procedures and relevant legislation.

Requirements

• Proven maintenance experience within a manufacturing, industrial or production environment.
• Previous supervisory or team leadership experience.
• Strong mechanical and electrical maintenance knowledge.
• A relevant engineering qualification, such as NVQ Level 3, HNC/HND or equivalent.
