Unqualified – must have previous nursery experience and a genuine desire to gain an Early Years/Childcare qualification.

About the Role

We are looking for a caring, enthusiastic and reliable individual with previous nursery experience to join our friendly nursery team on a part-time, term-time basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who has experience working in a nursery but does not yet hold an Early Years/Childcare qualification and is keen to work towards gaining one.

The successful candidate will support children's learning, development and wellbeing in a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment while gaining valuable experience and developing their skills within the early years sector.

You will work alongside experienced practitioners, supporting children's daily routines, play-based learning and development, while receiving guidance and support to help you progress towards a recognised qualification.

Key Responsibilities

Provide warm, caring and attentive support to children throughout the day.

Support children's learning and development through play and engaging activities.

Help create a safe, stimulating and welcoming nursery environment.

Build positive relationships with children, parents and colleagues.

Assist with children's daily routines, including mealtimes, toileting and personal care where appropriate.

Support the planning and delivery of age-appropriate activities.

Encourage children's confidence, independence and social development.

Follow safeguarding, health and safety and nursery policies and procedures.

Work collaboratively with the nursery team and learn from experienced practitioners.

Show a willingness to develop knowledge and skills and work towards an Early Years/Childcare qualification.

About You

Experienced

Has previous experience working in a nursery or early years setting.

No formal Early Years/Childcare qualification is required at this stage, but previous nursery experience is essential, along with a genuine commitment to working towards a relevant qualification.

Working Pattern

Monday to Friday, 9:00am–1:00pm, term time only.
