Housing Officer

What's involved with this role

Triumph Consultants are looking for an experienced Housing Officer with a background in a local authority or Registered Social Landlord (RSL) and a good knowledge of the Housing Act for their client. Contract is for 2 months in Stoke on Trent, ST2 0EU

Pay Rate

£18.04 per hour PAYE

Hours per week

37 Monday - Friday

Hybrid role

requiring at least 50% of your time on visits and in the office.

Key requirements

Experience in social housing within a local authority or RSL.

Good knowledge of housing legislation, tenancy conditions and housing management.

Strong communication and customer service skills, with experience advising residents.

Ability to manage workloads and handle challenging situations with tact and diplomacy.

Good IT skills and a relevant Level 3 qualification or equivalent experience.

Key responsibilities

Manage tenancies and estates, including routine visits and tenancy issues.

Investigate anti-social behaviour and tenancy breaches, taking appropriate action.

Recover rent arrears and support residents with income and welfare advice.

Provide advice and support to tenants, including vulnerable residents, and make referrals where needed.

Prepare reports and legal documents and attend court or tenancy hearings when required.
