Pharmacy Technician Maternity Cover (Fixed Term)

Main duties Assess, validate, dispense and, where appropriately qualified, accuracy check prescriptions for inpatients, outpatients and specialist services. Maintain accurate electronic medication, dispensing and prescribing records. Dispense, check and audit controlled drugs in accordance with legislation and standard operating procedures. Support ward-based services by identifying upcoming discharges, promoting the use of patients own medicines and helping to reduce medicines waste. Provide clear medicines information and counselling to patients, escalating clinical or complex queries appropriately. Prioritise workload effectively and support the daily coordination of team activity. Participate in weekend, Bank Holiday and late-evening rotas as required.
